Dan Smith hit the ground running in comedy, winning HBO’s
Funniest Comic in Boston competition in his very first year as a stand-up comedian. Riding that momentum, Dan packed up and headed to Los Angeles, where he quickly built an impressive career both on stage and behind the scenes in television and entertainment.
As a performer, Dan has appeared on numerous television programs including
The Drew Carey Show, Talk Soup, Loco Comedy Jam, Star Search, and his own comedy special on the Starz Network. His sharp writing talents also earned him success behind the camera, writing and producing for hit shows such as
Blind Date,
The 5th Wheel, and
Ex-Treme Dating. For more than four years, Dan was also a joke writer for
Us Weekly Magazine as part of the popular “Fashion Police” team.
