Train Wreck Comedy Concert Series presents

DAVE HEMSTAD

The Train Wreck Comedy Concert Series is bringing five unforgettable nights of world-class stand-up comedy to the Rotary Centre for the Arts, featuring some of the funniest professional comedians from across North America. From razor-sharp storytelling to side-splitting crowd work, each show delivers huge energy, big personalities, and nonstop laughs in one of the city’s premier live entertainment venues. Whether you're a die-hard comedy fan or just looking for an incredible night out, this is the must-see comedy event series of the year!

Born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, Dave Hemstad was once an Academic All-American golfer with a promising future on the fairways — until a lightning strike literally changed the course of his life. Swapping birdies for belly laughs, Dave has spent the last 20 years touring the globe with his signature brand of clean, razor-sharp comedy that brilliantly finds humor in the everyday moments we all experience.

A true triple threat as a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor, Dave has become one of Canada’s most respected comedic voices. He’s appeared at some of the country’s top comedy festivals including Just For Laughs, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, while also starring in his own Comedy Now! special.

Fans across Canada also know Dave as a beloved regular on CBC Radio’s The Debaters, where his quick wit and polished storytelling have made him a standout favorite. Behind the scenes, Dave has built an impressive writing career, contributing to shows such as Still Standing and the Canadian Screen Awards hosted by Norm Macdonald.

On screen, Dave’s acting credits include appearances in Almost Heroes and CBS Sports’ Off The Hozzle, further showcasing his versatility as a performer.

When he’s not touring stages across North America, Dave co-hosts the hit podcast Dr. Val Saves Dave, and his latest comedy album, DAD INTENTIONS, is streaming everywhere.

Smart, relatable, and effortlessly funny, Dave Hemstad continues to win over audiences with comedy that’s as clean as it is hilarious.
